NEW YORK, March 13, 2017 – Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C. announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina on behalf of all persons or entities who held The Fresh Market, Inc. (Other: TFM) securities on March 14, 2016 (the “Class Period”).
On March 14, 2016, the two parties announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Apollo Global Management, LLC will acquire Neustar, Inc. in a deal worth $1.36 billion. As a result of the merger, Fresh Market shareholders are only anticipated to receive $28.50 in cash for each share of Fresh Market common stock.
The Complaint alleges that the company failed to conduct a fair sales process and failed to disclose all material information regarding the sale of the company.
