NEW YORK, January 16, 2017 – Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C. announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the California Northern District Court on behalf of all persons or entities who held Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (NASDAQ: AMCC) securities on January 12, 2017 (the “Class Period”).

On November 21, 2016, the two parties announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which MACOM Technology Solutions Holdings, Inc. will acquire Applied Micro Circuits Corporation in a deal worth $770 million. As a result of the merger, Applied Micro Circuits Corporation shareholders are only anticipated to receive $3.25 in cash and 0.1089 MACOM shares for each share of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation common stock.
