NEW YORK, March 24, 2017 – Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C. announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas on behalf of all persons or entities who held MoneyGram International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MGI) securities on March 17, 2017 (the “Class Period”).

On January 26, 2017, the two parties announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Ant Financial Services Group will acquire MoneyGram in a deal worth $880 million. As a result of the merger, MoneyGram shareholders are only anticipated to receive $13.25 in cash for each share of MoneyGram common stock.

The Complaint alleges that the Company failed to conduct a fair sales process and failed to disclose all material information regarding the sale of the Company.
