Castillo v. Seagate Technology, LLC

We represented a class of current and former employees of Seagate Technology, LLC, and its affiliates whose personally identifiable information was wrongfully disclosed by Seagate in a March 2016 "phishing" data breach in which Seagate disclosed the 2015 W-2 tax information of its employees.  In September 2016, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California denied Defendant's Motion to Dismiss.  The matter settled in March 2018.  Pursuant to the settlement, Seagate agreed to provide Class Members with the option to obtain two years of identity theft protection at Seagate's cost and to reimburse Class Member for certain economic harm.
