Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C., Appointed Lead Counsel in Consolidated CenturyLink, Inc., Derivative Action
Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C., announces that it was appointed Lead Counsel in In re CenturyLink Sales Practices and Securities Litigation, Consolidated Derivative Action, pending before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. The Court found that Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C., and its client, Tim Ault, are “the most qualified for appointment as Lead Counsel and Lead Plaintiff.”
Plaintiffs in the CenturyLink Consolidated Derivative Action allege that certain of CenturyLink’s directors and officers breached their duties to the company by making false and misleading statements to the investing public concerning CenturyLink’s business model, prospects and business practices. CenturyLink provides broadband, Ethernet, and satellite digital television services to customers in more than 60 countries. Plaintiffs allege that during the relevant period, CenturyLink’s marketing strategy relied on false information to obtain and retain customers, and allowed employees to add services or lines to customer accounts without authorization. Accordingly, Plaintiffs allege that the defendants caused CenturyLink to report inflated revenues and false and misleading financial results. In addition, Plaintiffs allege that certain of the defendants breached their duties by selling CenturyLink common stock while in possession of non-public material information.
